# Campaign Management

Canonical URL: https://support.optimonk.com/en/articles/campaign-management

Search, filter and manage your campaigns without your account turning into a pile. This article covers the **Campaigns** list: how it is scoped, how to find a campaign, how to switch one on or off, and how to duplicate, archive, restore, or delete it.

---

## One domain at a time

The whole app works per site. The domain you pick in the left sidebar (**Switch workspace**, under **Your domains**) is your workspace, and the **Campaigns** list shows that domain's campaigns only — its name appears under the page title. Reports, Leads, and Recents follow the same choice.

So there is no domain filter on the list itself: to see another site's campaigns, switch the workspace.

## Finding a campaign

**Status pills** — **All**, **Active**, **Inactive**, **Scheduled**, **Archived**. Archived campaigns are hidden until you ask for them.

**Search** — *Search campaigns…* matches the campaign name and the domain.

**Sort** — **↓ Newest first** (default), **↑ Oldest first**, **↓ Name A–Z**, **↑ Name Z–A**.

**Date range** — **Yesterday**, **Last 7 days**, **Last 30 days**, **Last month**, **Last year**, or **Custom range**. This changes the numbers on the cards, not which campaigns are listed.

If nothing matches, the list says *No campaigns match your filters.* and offers **Clear filters**.

Note: there is no filter by device, and no checkbox selection for acting on several campaigns at once — every action below is per campaign.

## What a campaign card tells you

- A **preview image** of the popup (or *No preview* while it has none).
- The **name**, and the **domain** underneath — the domain is a link that opens your store in a new tab.
- Badges: **Classic** for a campaign built in the classic admin, **Scheduled** for one with a live schedule (hover it for the start and end), red **Ended** once the schedule's window has passed.
- A red **Snippet not detected** line when the OptiMonk code is missing from that domain.
- Three KPI columns for the selected period — by default **Impressions**, **Submits** and **Submit rate**; with an A/B test running, a fourth column shows **Conv. uplift**.
- The **Active/Inactive** switch (or an **Archived** chip), and **Last updated**.

Hover the card to reveal the **⋮** menu in its top right corner: **Rename**, **Duplicate**, **Settings**, **Archive** (or **Restore**) and **Delete**.

## Activate and inactivate a campaign

A new campaign is **Inactive**: it does not show on your site at all. It becomes **Active** — shown to visitors according to your targeting rules — when you switch it on.

1. Open **Campaigns**.
2. Find the campaign and click its switch. (The same switch sits in the top right of the campaign's own page.)

Three states take the switch away from you, and each says so:

- **Under construction** — *You can switch the campaign on once the popup is built.*
- **Archived** — *Restore the campaign from the archive to activate it.*
- A live schedule — the switch is locked and reads *Managed by the schedule*.

If the activation is refused, the message names the fix — most often *This campaign has no trigger, so it would never appear.*, *Every version of this campaign is switched off, so there is nothing to show.* *This campaign has no site yet*, or your plan's active-campaign / active-site limit.

## Duplicate a campaign

Use this to test a different design, reuse a campaign that works, or build a seasonal variation without touching the original.

1. Hover the campaign card, open the **⋮** menu, and choose **Duplicate**.
2. The copy appears in the list named **… (copy)**, with a confirmation: *Campaign duplicated.*

What you get: the full popup, all of its A/B variants, and all settings, copied onto the same domain. The copy is **Inactive** and is not live anywhere until you switch it on — so you can edit it in peace first.

Two things to check before you switch the copy on:

- **Avoid overlapping targeting.** If the copy and the original both run with the same trigger and conditions, your visitors meet two near-identical popups. Give each one a different trigger, condition or priority.
- **Check both viewports.** Open the variant and use the **Desktop / Mobile** preview before going live.

## Archive and restore

Archiving takes a campaign off your site and out of the way without losing anything — all of its data stays, and you can bring it back at any time.

**Archive one campaign**

1. Open the **⋮** menu on the card and choose **Archive**.
2. Confirm: *Archive "…"? It stops showing on your site until you restore it.*
3. The card is confirmed with *Campaign archived — it no longer shows on your site.* and now carries an **Archived** chip instead of a switch.

**Restore**

1. Set the status pill to **Archived**.
2. Open the **⋮** menu on the campaign and choose **Restore**. No confirmation is needed — *Campaign restored — it stays inactive until you activate it.*
3. Switch it on when you are ready. An archived campaign cannot be activated or scheduled before it is restored.

**Delete** removes the campaign for good: *Delete "…"? This can't be undone.* — and on a live one, *Delete "…"? This stops the live campaign and can't be undone.* Archive instead if there is any chance you will want the campaign or its history back.

## Statistics for a period

Pick a range in the date-range control and every card's KPI columns follow it. For anything deeper — a trend chart, breakdowns by country, device, source or landing page, or a CSV export — open **Reports** in the left menu, or the **Analytics** tab inside a campaign.

---

## Campaigns you built in the classic admin

If your account already had campaigns before, they are listed here too, with a **Classic** badge (*Built in the classic admin*). You can switch them on and off and open their settings; their design is still edited in the classic admin, and a banner above the list says how many there are and links to **Open classic admin**.

---

## Pro tips

**Use descriptive names.** Put the occasion, the goal and the audience in the name, so search finds it later — for example *Black Friday 2026 — 20% off — new visitors*. (Rename from the card's **⋮** menu.)

**Review performance regularly.** Use the date range to spot what works, then duplicate the winners and switch off what does not earn its place.

**Archive instead of delete.** Archived campaigns keep their history and can be restored; deleted ones cannot.
