# How to adjust the font for my campaign?

Your popup starts out in your own brand font: when OptiMonk reads your site at the beginning of a design session, it picks up the typeface your pages actually use, along with your colors and your logo. When you want something different, you can change the font of any text — or of one word inside it — right on the canvas.

---

## Change the font of a text or a button

1. Open the popup in the editor and **click the text** you want to change. A small format bar appears above it.
2. Pick a typeface from the first dropdown (**Font**).
3. Pick a thickness from the second one (**Font weight**): *Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold, Bold, ExtraBold*.
4. Set the size with the **−** / number / **+** stepper (*Smaller* / *Larger*), and the line spacing with the stepper next to it (*Tighter line spacing* / *Looser line spacing*).

The same bar also carries **Bold**, **Italic**, **Underline**, **Link**, the **Text color** and **Highlight** swatches, **Remove highlight**, **Align left / center / right**, and bulleted and numbered lists.

*💡 Select only part of the text before you change the font, and only that part changes — handy when you want one word in the headline to stand out.*

## Change the font of an input field

Input fields have no format bar (they are form controls, not editable text), so their typography sits in the right-hand **Visual** panel:

1. Click the field on the canvas.
2. Open the **Typography** section on the right.
3. Set **Font family**, **Weight** and **Font size**.

Product recommender buttons work the same way: the product card's panel has its own **Font family** and **Font size**, plus an *Inherited (card font)* option that keeps the card's typeface.

## Which fonts can I choose from?

The picker offers one curated list, the same one everywhere in the editor: **73 families** — 8 system faces that need no download (Arial, Helvetica, Georgia, Times New Roman, Courier New, Verdana, Tahoma, Trebuchet MS) and 65 Google Fonts families, grouped so the list reads like a type menu:

- **Sans** — Inter, Roboto, Open Sans, Lato, Montserrat, Poppins, Nunito, DM Sans, Figtree, Manrope, Plus Jakarta Sans and more
- **Condensed and display** — Oswald, Roboto Condensed, Barlow Condensed, Teko, Bebas Neue, Anton
- **Serif** — Playfair Display, Merriweather, Lora, PT Serif, Libre Baskerville, EB Garamond, DM Serif Display and more
- **Rounded, script and handwritten** — Comfortaa, Fredoka, Varela Round, Dancing Script, Pacifico, Lobster, Caveat, Great Vibes, Permanent Marker

If the popup already uses a family that is not on the list, that family stays selected in the dropdown rather than being silently replaced — you only lose it if you pick something else.

The font you choose travels with the popup all the way to your live site, so what you see in the editor is what your visitors get.

---

## You can also just ask

If you would rather not hunt through the list, open the **AI** tab in the right-hand panel and describe what you want — *"use a serif font for the headline"*, *"make the small print one size smaller"*. Simple text edits like these apply in seconds and can be reverted before you save.

---

## Don't forget

- Typography is set **per view**. If your popup has separate desktop and mobile designs, switch views with the monitor / phone buttons in the header and check the other one too.
- Press **Save** (or **Save & Exit**) when you are done. If the campaign is already published, saving pushes the change live.
