# Integrating OptiMonk campaigns with AWeber

The [AWeber](http://www.aweber.com/) integration with [OptiMonk](https://www.optimonk.com/) adds subscribers to your AWeber mailing list when they fill out an OptiMonk popup form. Handy if you run marketing campaigns regularly, so the people who signed up through OptiMonk also hear about your promotions and news.

**Before you start:** you need a campaign in OptiMonk (the popup has to be built, because the field mapping is read from the input fields of your popup) and an AWeber account.

## Connect AWeber to your campaign

1. Open **Campaigns** in the left menu and click the campaign you want to connect with AWeber.
2. Open the **Integrations** tab of the campaign.
3. Click **Add integration**. If this is your first one, the same step is offered as *Connect your email or SMS tool*.
4. **Provider** step: pick **AWeber** from the provider list, or type it into *Search providers…*. Accounts you have already connected are listed at the top, under *Your connected accounts*.
5. **Account** step: choose an AWeber account you have already connected, or connect a new one.

AWeber uses a sign-in redirect rather than an API key, so there is nothing to paste. You get a single button: **Continue with AWeber**. *You'll be redirected to AWeber to authorize OptiMonk, then brought back here to finish the setup.*
6. On AWeber's page, fill in your AWeber login details and click **Allow Access**.

You are taken back to OptiMonk to finish the setup. If you cancel or reject the request you get *Authorization failed — The connection was cancelled or rejected — try connecting again.*
7. **List** step: pick the AWeber list the new signups should join, then click **Continue**. Use *Search lists…* if you have many lists. Everyone who subscribes through this campaign is forwarded to this list.
8. **Field mapping** step: *Choose where each popup field goes in AWeber.* The left column is **Popup field** — every input your popup collects — and the right one is the AWeber field. OptiMonk pre-fills the mapping with its own suggestions, so in most cases you only need to check it.

- Pick **Don't sync** for any popup field you don't want to send.
- Under **Static fields** you can send a fixed value with every submission — click **Add static field**, type the value on the left and pick the AWeber field on the right. Good for tagging the source of the subscriber.
9. Click **Save integration**.

That's it :) Whenever a visitor signs up through your popup, they are added to the AWeber list you picked.

**Draft vs. live:** if the campaign has not been published yet, the integration shows a **Draft** pill and the note *Saved as draft — it goes live when you publish the campaign.* On a published campaign it is applied right away and shows as **Active**.

## Change or remove the integration

The **Integrations** tab lists every integration on the campaign with its list name (*List: {your list}*).

- **Change list** / **Edit mapping** reopens the wizard at that step.
- **Remove** takes it off this campaign: *Remove from this campaign? The account connection stays and can be added again.* Your AWeber authorization is not revoked, so you can reuse it on another campaign.

## Which fields can I map?

The left column of the mapping table is built from the input fields of your popup, so what you can map depends on what your popup collects. The right column depends on the fields of the AWeber list you picked.
