# Integrating OptiMonk campaigns with HubSpot

The [HubSpot](https://www.hubspot.com/) integration with [OptiMonk](https://www.optimonk.com/) adds subscribers to your HubSpot list when they fill out an OptiMonk popup form. It comes in handy if you run marketing campaigns regularly: the subscribers who signed up via OptiMonk also get the news about your upcoming promotions.

**Before you start:** you need a HubSpot account, and an OptiMonk campaign whose popup is already built — the field mapping is read from the input fields of your popup.

## Connect HubSpot to your campaign

1. Open **Campaigns** in the left menu and click the campaign you want to connect with HubSpot.
2. Open the **Integrations** tab of the campaign.
3. Click **Add integration**. If this is your first one, the same step is offered as *Connect your email or SMS tool*.
4. **Provider** step: pick **HubSpot V2** — it is one of the providers offered in the **Popular** row, so you normally don't have to search for it. Accounts you have already connected are listed at the top, under *Your connected accounts*.
5. **Account** step: choose a HubSpot account you have already connected, or click **Connect a new account**. For a new one you only get a button: **Continue with HubSpot V2**. *You'll be redirected to HubSpot V2 to authorize OptiMonk, then brought back here to finish the setup.*
6. On the HubSpot side, **select** the HubSpot account you want to connect to OptiMonk and click **Choose Account**, then click **Connect app** on the next page. You are then redirected back to OptiMonk, to the next step of the wizard.
7. **List** step: pick the list new signups should join. Use *Search lists…* if the list is long, then click **Continue**.
8. **Field mapping** step: decide where each popup field goes in HubSpot (see below), then click **Save integration**.

That's it. Whenever a visitor signs up through your popup, they are added to the HubSpot list you picked.

**Draft vs. live:** if the campaign has not been published yet, the integration is shown with a **Draft** pill and the note *Saved as draft — it goes live when you publish the campaign.* On a published campaign it is applied right away and shows as **Active**.

## Field mapping

The mapping table has two columns: **Popup field** on the left (every input your popup collects) and **HubSpot V2 field** on the right. Here you find all the data of your OptiMonk campaign that can be transferred to HubSpot; for every input field of your popup you can assign a field in HubSpot. OptiMonk pre-fills the mapping with its own suggestions, so in most cases you only need to check it.

- The **email** field is fixed — it always maps to HubSpot's `email`.
- Pick **Don't sync** for any popup field you don't want to send.

### Send additional data with static fields

Under **Static fields** you can send a fixed value with every submission. Click **Add static field**, type the value on the left, and choose the HubSpot field it should go into on the right.

💡 For example, enter `OptiMonk` here, and you will always know that these contacts came from an OptiMonk campaign. A campaign name works just as well.

## Change or remove the integration

The Integrations tab lists every integration on the campaign, with the provider name and the list you chose.

- **Change list** reopens the wizard, so you can pick another HubSpot list or edit the mapping.
- The **trash icon** takes the integration off this campaign: *Remove from this campaign? The account connection stays and can be added again.* Your HubSpot connection is not deleted, so you can reuse it on another campaign.
