# Integrating OptiMonk Campaigns with Omnisend

Connecting [Omnisend](https://www.omnisend.com/) to an OptiMonk campaign means everyone who fills out your popup form is added to the Omnisend list you picked — no exports, no copy-paste.

**Look for "Soundest" in the provider list.** Omnisend used to be called Soundest, and that is still the name of the integration type in OptiMonk. Searching for *Omnisend* in the provider picker returns nothing; search for **Soundest** instead. Everything behind it is Omnisend.

**Before you start:** you need a campaign in OptiMonk (the popup has to be built, because the field mapping is read from the input fields of your popup) and an Omnisend account.

## Step 1 — Create an API key in Omnisend

1. Log in to your Omnisend account. Click your icon in the top right corner and select **Store settings**.
2. Select **API keys** under **Integrations & API**.
3. If you do not have any API keys yet, click **Create API Key**.
4. Choose the *This API key will only allow to add the new subscribers* option, give the key a name, and click **Save**.
5. Click the copy icon next to your API key.

OptiMonk's own hint says the same: *To retrieve your API key, log in to your Omnisend account. Click on 'Store settings' -> 'Integrations & API' tab. Create a new API key, then copy and paste it here.*

## Step 2 — Connect it to your campaign in OptiMonk

1. Open **Campaigns** in the left menu and click the campaign you want to connect.
2. Open the **Integrations** tab of the campaign.
3. Click **Add integration**. If this is your first one, the same step is offered as *Connect your email or SMS tool*.
4. **Provider** step: type **Soundest** into *Search providers…* and select it. Accounts you have already connected are listed at the top, under *Your connected accounts*.
5. **Account** step: choose a connected account, or add a new one. Paste the API key you copied from Omnisend into the credential field.

Use **Name (optional)** to call the connection *Omnisend* — that is the name you will see in your list of connected accounts from then on, and it saves you from hunting for "Soundest" later.

Click **Connect**. If the key is wrong you get *Connection failed — check the credentials*.
6. **List** step: pick the list new signups should join, then click **Continue**. Use *Search lists…* if the list is long.
7. **Field mapping** step: *Choose where each popup field goes in Soundest.* The left column is **Popup field** (every input your popup collects), the right one is the Omnisend field.

- Pick **Don't sync** for any popup field you don't want to send.
- Under **Static fields** you can send a fixed value with every submission — click **Add static field**, type the value on the left and choose the target field on the right. This is a good place to tag where the subscriber came from.
8. Click **Save integration**.

That's it! From now on, whenever a visitor signs up through this campaign, they are added to your Omnisend list.

**Draft vs. live:** if the campaign has not been published yet, the integration shows a **Draft** pill and the note *Saved as draft — it goes live when you publish the campaign.* On a published campaign it is applied right away and shows as **Active**.

## Change or remove the integration

The **Integrations** tab lists every integration on the campaign with its list name (*List: {your list}*).

- **Change list** / **Edit mapping** reopens the wizard at that step.
- **Remove** takes it off this campaign: *Remove from this campaign? The account connection stays and can be added again.* Your API key is not deleted, so you can reuse it on another campaign.

## Welcome emails

Sending a welcome email to a new subscriber is set up on the Omnisend side, in their automation tools — an Omnisend Premium package is needed for it. There is no welcome-email switch in the OptiMonk integration wizard.
