# Monthly/Yearly Recurring Payments

Recurring means "over and over". OptiMonk subscriptions are recurring: you save a card once, and we charge it at the start of every new billing period until you tell us to stop. There is no need to enter your card details again before each period.

## The billing periods

Plans are sold **monthly** and **yearly**, and in some regions **quarterly** as well. The plan switcher shows only the periods your account's catalog actually prices, and yearly always carries a discount — the button names it, for example **Yearly, save 25%**.

## Change your billing period

1. Click your **name** at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose **Subscription**. (Owners only.)
2. Click **Change plan**.
3. Use the switch above the plan columns: **Monthly billing**, **Quarterly** (where offered), or the yearly option.
4. Pick the plan column and size you want, then go through **Billing → Payment → Summary** and click **Pay & switch plan**. The summary repeats the choice under **Billing period**.

When you change plan or period mid-term, the dialog notes: *Upgrades and downgrades are prorated; the exact amount is finalized at payment.*

## When am I charged?

You are charged on the same date of each period as your first payment.

- **Monthly:** if you first paid on 10 February, the next charge is 10 March, then 10 April, and so on.
- **Yearly:** if you first paid on 10 March 2026, the next charge is 10 March 2027.

Your **Next payment** date is shown in two places: in the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar, and on the **Current plan** card in **Settings → Subscription**. On a free plan the row reads *No upcoming payment*.

## When does my traffic allowance reset?

**Every month** — even on a quarterly or yearly plan. The allowance resets on the same day of the month as your payment date: pay on 10 March, and the counter starts again on 10 April, 10 May, and so on.

Open **Settings → Usage** to see it: the **Plan usage** section names the current billing period and the day you are on inside it, and the line under the bar says *Resets …* with the exact date.

If you use more than your plan allows, the Subscription tab adds a note: *Visitor limit exceeded — FlexiPay overage may apply.*

## Stopping the recurring payment

The charge repeats until you cancel it — see How to Cancel Your OptiMonk Subscription. Switching to a smaller plan or to the free plan is not charged now: it is scheduled for the end of your current billing period.
