# Switch it on, and test it on your site

Switching the campaign on makes it live for your visitors. OptiMonk runs a quick check first and tells you if something would stop the popup from showing.

**What to do**

- On the campaign page click the switch in the header. If the check finds a problem, such as a missing trigger or a button that does not record a conversion, it tells you exactly what to fix.

- Watch the bar above the campaign page. A red alert means the campaign is blocked (usually the code is not installed yet); an amber one means it is running but something needs attention. No bar means all is well.

- To see the live popup yourself without showing it to visitors, add a **Current page / URL** rule that includes only pages where the URL contains `optimonk=true`, then open `https://your-domain.com/?optimonk=true`. Everything is real here: triggers, targeting, frequency and integrations. Remove the rule when you are done.

**Done when:** the campaign status reads **Active**, there is no red alert on the campaign page, and the popup appeared for you on your own site.
