In this article:

1. Uninstall OptiMonk app:
   • Shopify
   • WordPress or WooCommerce
   • Magento
   • Shoprenter
2. Remove the OptiMonk JavaScript code

The steps to uninstall OptiMonk depend on how you have installed it in the first place. You can install OptiMonk in 2 ways:

1. Install OptiMonk with an application
2. Install OptiMonk by inserting the JavaScript code on your site

OptiMonk is installed with an application

We have direct integration with Shoprenter, Shopify, WordPress, and Magento which means we have an application available for these systems. If you have installed OptiMonk through an application, you can uninstall OptiMonk by removing the said application.

You will find the steps to uninstall the application below.

Shopify

1. First, log in to the admin page of your Shopify website, then select Settings on the left:

2. Look for Apps and sales channels on the left.

3. Look for OptiMonk: Popup, CRO, A/B Test, move there the cursor and click Uninstall.

4. You can optionally provide your reason for uninstalling, then click on Uninstall.

Wordpress

If you use a WordPress site, you can uninstall the OptiMonk plugin with the following steps:

Log in to the admin page of your WordPress site, then select Installed Plugins under Plugins. Look for Deactivate next to OptiMonk in the Plugin list:

Once Deactivated, you will have the option to Delete the plugin:

Magento

1. In order to remove the Magento Extension, log in to the admin page of your Magento site, select System on the left, then Web Setup Wizard:
   
   
   
   
2. Select Module Manager on the next page:
   
   
   
   
3. Look for OptiMonk, and click on Select, then Disable: 
   
   
   
   
4. Click on Start Readiness Check:
   
   
   
   
5. Click on Next once the check is done:
   
   
   
   
6. Click on Create Backup then click Next once the backup is ready:
   
   
   
   
7. Click on Disable on the next screen:
   
   

Shoprenter

In order to uninstall the application on your Shoprenter site, please log in to the admin page of your Shoprenter website, then click on Alkalmazások (Apps) and look for OptiMonk among Telepített Alkalmazások (Installed Apps). Click on the bin icon next to OptiMonk

Remove the OptiMonk JavaScript code if OptiMonk is installed with JavaScript code

If you have installed OptiMonk by inserting the JavaScript code on your site, you just need to remove the code to uninstall OptiMonk. You can check the code in your OptiMonk account that you need to remove.

1. Log in to your OptiMonk account at https://app.optimonk.com/login/en, then click on your Profile, then Settings in the bottom left corner and look for Insert code option under the Account panel:

2. Click on Custom website, then select I can insert the code to find the code you must remove from your site.
