You can update your OptiMonk password at any time, and you change your login email address in the same place: the Security tab of your settings.
Step 1: Open Security
Click your initials in the bottom left corner of the sidebar.
Choose Settings from the menu.
In the menu on the left of the settings page, open Security.
The settings page has nine tabs — Personal details, Security, Domains, Users, API keys, Usage, Subscription, Billing and User Experience Protector. Your password lives under Security, not under Personal details.
Not an account owner? That's fine — Security is available to every user. Only Usage, Subscription, Billing and User Experience Protector are owner-only.
Step 2: Change your password
The Password block at the top of the tab has three fields:
Enter your Current password.
Enter your New password.
Type it once more into Confirm new password.
Click Change password.
When it works, the block confirms it: Password changed successfully.
What the fields expect
The new password must be at least 8 characters and at most 32 characters — if it isn't, you get New password must be at least 8 characters. or New password must be at most 32 characters.
The two new-password fields have to match, otherwise: The new passwords do not match.
Leave any field empty and you get Please fill in all fields.
If the first field is wrong: Your current password is incorrect.
Change your login email address
Right under the password block is the Email address block, in the same tab:
Current email shows the address you sign in with today.
Type the address you want to use into New email address.
Click Change email.
The change is not immediate, and it is confirmed from your old mailbox: We sent a confirmation link to your current email address. Click it to finish the change. Open that mail and click the link to finish.
If the address is already used by another OptiMonk account, you get This email address is already in use.
Changing your login email does not change where campaign notifications or invoices go if those were set up separately — check Personal details and Billing if you moved to a new mailbox for good.
Forgot your password?
The Security tab asks for your current password, so it can only be used while you are signed in. If you cannot sign in at all, use the password-reset link on the login screen instead of this tab.
Ask the settings assistant
Every settings tab has a chat rail on the right that answers questions about the screen you are on. On Security it opens with Hi! You're on Security. Ask me about passwords, your login email, or any other setting. and offers ready-made questions such as How do I change my password? and How do I change my login email?
