Popup signups always land in your OptiMonk subscriber list. Forwarding them on to
your email, SMS or CRM tool is a separate, per-campaign setting — this article
shows where it is, what you need, and when it starts working.

Before the popup is built: nothing to set up yet

While you are still working through the campaign steps, the settings summary
shows an Integrations card. It has no "Edit" link. Instead it carries a chip
labelled After build, which opens a short explainer:


Every lead lands in your OptiMonk subscriber list. Forwarding to your email
tool is set up once the popup is built, in the campaign hub under Integrations.

That is deliberate — there is no integration editor at this stage. The explainer
also shows logo tiles for Klaviyo, Mailchimp, SendGrid, HubSpot V2 and Webhook,
followed by and more, and a Got it button that just closes the card.

After the build: the Integrations tab

Open the campaign in the campaign hub and switch to the Integrations tab (it
sits between Settings and Submits). The Overview tab's settings summary
also links straight to it when you click the integrations card.

The panel is headed Integrations with the subtitle:


Forward popup subscribers to your email/SMS tool. Connect an account, pick a
list, and new signups sync automatically.

If you have not set anything up yet you see the empty state — Connect your
email or SMS tool / "New popup signups will sync automatically to the list you
choose — no manual exports." — and an Add integration button.

The four steps

Add integration opens a wizard whose steps are Provider, Account,
then either List or Settings, then Field mapping.

  1. Provider. A Search providers… box, a Popular row (Klaviyo,
    Klaviyo (OAuth), Mailchimp, SendGrid, HubSpot V2, Attentive, Webhook) and an
    All providers list. Providers your account can no longer newly connect
    carry the note: "This is a legacy integration — existing accounts keep
    working, but new ones can no longer be connected."

  2. Account. Reuse one under Your connected accounts, or choose Connect
    a new account    . For API-key providers you fill in the credential fields the
    provider requires — the hint reads "You'll find these credentials in your
    {name} account settings." — optionally give the connection a name
    (Name (optional)) and press Connect. OptiMonk tests the credentials
    against the provider before saving them, so a wrong key fails here with
    Connection failed — check the credentials rather than silently later.
    For OAuth providers there is no credentials form: "You'll be redirected to
    {name} to authorize OptiMonk, then brought back here to finish the setup.",
    with a Continue with {name} button. OAuth connection is wired up for
    Klaviyo (OAuth), HubSpot V2, AWeber, CleverReach V2, Salesforce, Keap and
    HighLevel; after you come back the wizard resumes on the next step by itself.

  3. List (or Settings). "Pick the list or segment new signups should
    join." — with a Search lists… box. Some providers have no list concept
    (Webhook, Slack, Attentive, …) and skip this step entirely; others show
    provider-specific selects instead, such as Campaign Monitor's client or
    SalesAutopilot's form. If your account has the multi-list feature and the
    popup captures both an email and a phone field, Klaviyo additionally offers
    Multi-list campaign — "Send subscribers to different lists based on which
    fields they filled (email / phone / both)."

  4. Field mapping. "Choose where each popup field goes in {name}." Each popup
    field gets a target field, or Don't sync. You can also add Static
    fields     with a fixed value. Finish with Save integration.

When it goes live

A saved integration shows a Draft pill and the line "Saved as draft — it goes
live when you publish the campaign." Publishing the campaign pushes the
connection, the chosen list and the field mapping to OptiMonk; on an
already-published campaign the same push happens when you save. Once the
integration is attached to the live campaign the pill changes to Active.

Each saved row also offers Change list / Edit mapping and Remove.
Removing asks first: "Remove from this campaign? The account connection stays
and can be added again."

Which providers you can pick

The picker is filtered by your OptiMonk account (plan features, legacy
connections, store-bound providers), so you may see fewer than the full set. The
builder's wizard supports these provider types:

  • Pick a list, then map fields: Klaviyo, Klaviyo (OAuth), HubSpot V2, AWeber,
    SendGrid, Sendinblue, Conversio, Selzy, Listamester V2, Soundest, Postscript.

  • No list — connected account and field mapping only: Webhook, Slack,
    Zapier, Attentive, Unas, The Marketer, WooCommerce Customer, WebGalamb 4 Plus.

  • Provider-specific settings wizard: Campaign Monitor, SalesAutopilot,
    CleverReach V2, GetResponse, Ontraport, Keap, Salesforce, MiniCRM, Mailchimp,
    Maileon, Mailigen, MailWizz.

HighLevel can be connected over OAuth but has no configurable campaign settings
in this wizard yet, so it is hidden from the picker.
