This article walks you through connecting CM Commerce to an OptiMonk campaign. Once you are done, everyone who fills out your popup form is added to your CM Commerce mailing list — no exports, no copy-paste.
Look for "Conversio" in the provider list. CM Commerce used to be called Conversio, and that is still the name of the integration type in OptiMonk. Searching for CM Commerce in the provider picker returns nothing; search for Conversio instead.
Before you start: you need a campaign in OptiMonk (the popup has to be built, because the field mapping is read from the input fields of your popup) and a CM Commerce account.
Step 1 — Get your API key from CM Commerce
Log in to your CM Commerce account in a new browser tab. OptiMonk's own hint describes where the key is: To locate your API key: Log in to your CM Commerce dashboard. Click on your account name in the top right corner of the site and select the "Account Settings" option. You can also go straight to your profile page, where the API key sits at the top, under Company Profile.
Copy the key.
Step 2 — Connect it to your campaign in OptiMonk
Open Campaigns in the left menu and click the campaign you want to connect.
Open the Integrations tab of the campaign.
Click Add integration. If this is your first one, the same step is offered as Connect your email or SMS tool.
Provider step: type Conversio into Search providers… and select it. Accounts you have already connected are listed at the top, under Your connected accounts.
Account step: choose a connected account, or add a new one and paste your CM Commerce API key into the credential field.
Use Name (optional) to call the connection CM Commerce — that is the name you will see in your list of connected accounts from then on.
Click Connect. If the key is wrong you get Connection failed — check the credentials.
List step: pick the CM Commerce list new signups should join, then click Continue. Use Search lists… if the list is long.
Field mapping step: Choose where each popup field goes in Conversio. The left column is Popup field — every input your popup collects — and the right one is the CM Commerce field. OptiMonk pre-fills the mapping with its own suggestions, so standard fields like first name, last name and email are usually already matched; check the rest and set anything you don't want to send to Don't sync.
Under Static fields you can send a fixed value with every submission — click Add static field, type the value on the left and pick the target field on the right.
Click Save integration.
That's it. OptiMonk syncs the data of new subscribers from this campaign automatically.
Draft vs. live: if the campaign has not been published yet, the integration shows a Draft pill and the note Saved as draft — it goes live when you publish the campaign. On a published campaign it is applied right away and shows as Active.
Add more than one integration
There is no "that's all the integrations I need" step any more — nothing to close off. Save the one you just set up, and if you want another tool on the same campaign, click Add integration again. The Integrations tab lists all of them, each with its list name (List: {your list}).
Change or remove the integration
Change list / Edit mapping reopens the wizard at that step.
Remove takes it off this campaign: Remove from this campaign? The account connection stays and can be added again. Your API key is not deleted, so you can reuse it on another campaign.
