You can add or replace the card we charge at any time. It takes a minute, and the new method is used for every future payment.
Only account Owners can do this — the Billing tab is hidden for members.
Update your payment method
Click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose Settings.
Open the Billing tab.
Scroll to Payment method. If you already have one on file, the line above the form says Current: and names it; if you don't, it says No payment method on file. Add a card or PayPal below to upgrade your plan.
Fill in the secure payment form. You can pay by card or with PayPal — pick the one you want in the form.
Click Save payment method.
That's it. The next payment is taken from the new method.
Note: payment changes made here do not affect Shopify-managed subscriptions. On a Shopify-billed account this section is read-only and says: Payment method changes for Shopify-billed accounts are managed in your Shopify admin.
Bank transfer instead of a card
Some accounts can pay by bank transfer. When that is possible, the Payment method section offers two options — Card / PayPal and Bank transfer. Choosing Bank transfer explains what changes: Switch to bank-transfer billing. We send a proforma invoice each period — no card required. Click Switch to bank transfer to confirm.
If your account is already on bank transfer, the section shows Bank transfer / proforma and the note Your account uses bank transfer billing. Contact support to update payment details or change your plan.
If a payment was declined
When a charge fails, a message appears at the top of Settings → Subscription: Your last payment was declined. with an Update payment method link that brings you straight to the Billing tab. Save a working card there and the subscription continues.
Where your billing details live
The Billing address that appears on your invoices sits on the same tab, above the payment method. See I would like to change the billing data on my invoice.
