You can easily use OptiMonk on your Unbounce landing pages. Unbounce is not one of the platforms OptiMonk has a dedicated guide for, so you install it the way any custom website does: copy the OptiMonk snippet and paste it into the page's JavaScripts box in Unbounce.

Step 1 — Copy your snippet from OptiMonk

  1. Log in to OptiMonk, open Settings and go to the Domains tab. (The same page opens from the domain switcher in the left sidebar, with Domain settings or Install snippet.)

  2. Make sure the domain your landing pages are published on is on the list. If it is not, click Add domain, type it in (Type a new domain, e.g. example.com) and click Add.

  3. Click the domain row to open it, then click Connection guide. Under Connect your website → What e-commerce platform do you use? choose Custom website.

  4. Click Copy code.


You can also get the same snippet straight from a campaign: when you publish one, the Install the snippet step shows it with a Copy button and a Check my site now button underneath.

Step 2 — Paste it into your Unbounce page

  1. Log in to your Unbounce account, open a page and edit it.

  2. In the bottom left corner of the editor, click the button called JavaScripts.

  3. A dialog box opens. Paste your OptiMonk JavaScript code into it.

  4. Choose where the script should be placed in the document. It defaults to Before Body End Tag (before </body>), and you can change it to After Body Tag (after <body>) or Head (in the <head> section).

    We recommend Head, which is where OptiMonk is meant to load — the same place the snippet goes on any other site.

  5. Save and publish the page.

Step 3 — Check that it is live

Back in OptiMonk, click Check now at the bottom of the guide. When the code is found you get The OptiMonk code is live on your-domain.com., and the domain row switches to Code inserted.

If you get We looked at your-domain.com and could not find the OptiMonk code yet…, make sure the page you published is the one on that domain and that it is publicly reachable, then click Check again.

Checking loads your site once and looks for the code — it does not need visitors.

Remember to add the code to every Unbounce page you want OptiMonk to run on — each page carries its own JavaScripts box.
