What Is Campaign Diagnostic?
Campaign Diagnostic is designed to help you uncover hidden problems that might be blocking your popup campaigns. Whether it’s a simple setting you overlooked or an unexpected conflict in your setup, Campaign Diagnostic scans your campaign settings, identifies the root cause, and gives tips on how you can fix it.
With this tool, you can test your campaigns after launch to ensure they display seamlessly to your visitors. If your popup isn’t appearing or generating impressions, it helps you pinpoint and fix the issue quickly and easily, so you can focus on what matters most: engaging your audience.
Important: Campaign Diagnostic currently supports only popup-based campaigns—including popups, side messages, and sticky bars. It does not work with Embedded campaigns or Dynamic Content.

How to use Campaign Diagnostic?
Step 1: Access Your OptiMonk Account
Log in to your OptiMonk account at https://app.optimonk.com/login/en
Step 2: Select Your Campaign
Select Campaigns from the left sidebar, then choose the campaign you want to test.
Important: The campaign must be active. Campaign Diagnostic only works with active campaigns.
Step 3: Launch Campaign Diagnostic
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the activation toggle, then select Campaign Diagnostic.
Step 4: Review Automatic Scan Results
Your website will load with Campaign Diagnostic active (using a special parameter). The tool automatically scans for issues that might prevent your popup from displaying.
Step 5: Review Detected Issues
Click on any detected issue to view a detailed description and resolution guidance. Each issue includes actionable steps to help you fix the problem.
Step 6: Resolve Issues and Retest
After fixing an issue, run Campaign Diagnostic again to verify the resolution. Resolved issues will no longer appear in the scan results. The tool only displays active problems, not confirmed working settings.
Step 7: Confirm Campaign Health
When all issues are resolved, you'll see a confirmation message indicating no problems were detected.
Step 8: Test Live Campaign Behavior
Campaign Diagnostic displays your popup according to your configured trigger settings. Unlike a standard preview, this is a live test where all settings are active, including:
Targeting rules
Frequency settings
Integration configurations
All other campaign parameters
