Pro tips to manage your campaigns effectively

Effective campaign organization saves time and makes it easier to manage large campaign portfolios. Follow these best practices to keep your account organized:

Use Descriptive Campaign Names

Include key identifiers in campaign names for easier searching:

  • Occasion: "Black Friday 2024" or "Summer Sale"

  • Campaign type: "Popup," "Sticky Bar," or "Embedded"

  • Goal: "Email Signup," "Cart Recovery," or "Product Promo"

  • Audience: "New Visitors" or "Returning Customers"

Example: "Black Friday 2024 - Popup - 20% Off - New Visitors"

Regularly Review Performance

Use date range filtering to identify high- and low-performing campaigns. This helps you:

  • Optimize successful campaigns

  • Pause or improve underperforming campaigns

  • Allocate resources effectively

Archive Inactive Campaigns

Keep your campaign list clean by archiving campaigns you're not currently using. Archived campaigns:

  • Don't clutter your active campaign list

  • Retain all historical data

  • Can be restored anytime

Reuse Successful Campaigns

Browse archived campaigns for inspiration when creating new campaigns. Restore and duplicate high-performers to save time on design and setup.

How to Activate and Inactivate your OptiMonk Campaign?

By default, your campaigns are ‘Inactive’, so they are not displayed on your website at all. They become ‘Active’, so they are shown to your visitors according to your display conditions when you activate them as the last step of setting up an OptiMonk campaign.

You can easily change the status of your campaigns from the Campaigns menu.

4.c.gif

Step 1: Access Campaigns

Log in to your OptiMonk account at https://app.optimonk.com/ and select Campaigns from the navigation bar.

5.c.png

Step 2: Toggle Campaign Status

Locate your campaign and click the Active/Inactive toggle switch to change its status. Active campaigns display to visitors immediately based on your targeting rules.

How to Duplicate your OptiMonk Campaigns?

Duplicating campaigns allows you to create variations while preserving the original. Use this feature to test different designs, copy successful campaigns to new domains, or create seasonal variations.

7.c.gif

Step 2: Duplicate Campaign

Locate the campaign you want to duplicate, click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the row, and select Duplicate. The duplicated campaign appears in your campaign list with "(Copy)" appended to the name.

8.c.png

Avoid Duplicate Campaign Overlaps: Ensure the targeting rules of your new campaign do not clash with the original, especially if both are active simultaneously.

Test Across Devices: Before publishing, preview the campaign on different devices to verify compatibility and effective display.

  1. Open the duplicated campaign to make necessary updates, such as editing the design, targeting, or integrations. If you plan to use it for another store, adjust settings such as domains and store-specific configurations.

  2. Once finalized, save and publish the campaign. Test it to ensure all settings align with your intent.
